what mistakes did you guys make when you installed your first system???

1) Gain is volume - more is always better.

2) Nominal impedance loads - EVERYTHING gets wired in parallel.

3) Small wire - Walmart 4 is just as good Knu 0.

And probably the biggest mistake.

4) Not spending the cash on good equipment the first time around..

in a word - everything

Beginning with no research. Give, we didn't have the internet when I built my first system. Cheap wire, cheap parts, Didn't know what T/S parameters were. Just built the biggest sealed box I could fit, The subs were probably designed for ported and I didnt even know it. Used cheap equipment - pyramid phase III. Used particleboard and not MDF. No Big 3, no upgraded battery, stock alt (maybe 70amp - not sure what was stock on a 78 Sirocco). No sound deadening, Heck, is there anything else i could have done wrong ?

Not using Using ring terminals I tried wrapping it around the fuse holder fail lol

used romex for power wire. hey it has power ground and remote all in one. Perfect!
