Oh yea, I also didn't know what ohms were or how to wire subs to amp properly. I just twisted the ends I all the wires together at the amp.

I used to do that too when I was younger lol. I even did that on my home stereo, had about 10 speakers in parallel with eachother.

using 4 gauge wire, stock battery/alternator, cheap RCAs, prefab enclosure, stock headunit... I basically got my truck and had to have bass!

I've since upgraded to 0gauge, Stinger battery/EA Alternator, stinger 8000 series RCAs, Custom enclosure, and a nav unit... its an entire world of difference!

had a freind showing me the ropes so didnt make a lot of mistakes.

we set the gain by ear on 3-4 amps by ear, the t400.4 i just installed was first set by ear but a member on here helped me out with a dd-1. my by ear was close but any distortion is bad distortion.

singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
