cooked another 15" need some help here plz

Theses my specs

Vehicle. 01 chrysler tow. and country w/160 amp salt

Deck: pioneer deh-p5100ub

Amp: pioneer preimere series prs-d2000spl 2000watt cont at 1ohm. Mono amp

Subs: 2 15" Boss p156dvc wired to 1 ohm. ( supposedly they are 2500 watt peak ea.)

Box: Bassworx dual 15 w/ shared port

Running 200 amp fuse w/ 0 ga wire

I know if i ask about replacement subs y'all say depends on prefrance, but obviously these subs were sub-par, they were brand new Friday and I blew one today, just daily bumping.... I prolly like my daily bumps louder than most but hey whatever. So I guess instead of asking what I should go with can someone throw down some brands to stay away from? Boss obviously. I'd like to go with pioneer since I got the deck and premiere amp but the power handling is low enough I think I'd need at least 4 of em wired to the same channel on my amp. never done that before dunno if that's a no no or what

This is the first time I've played with this much wattage I'm used to 1000watt max type of shit not 2k RMS type of shit, so any advice y'all can give would be great

Get something better for subs.fi X are nice subs.maybe a custom box as well.nice amp too!

Well man you know your sin.. lol but also I would get a DD-1 to set your gains and check your electrical just in case. There are too many brands to stay away from if you want high performance, if you want sub that are really tough to blow get SQ HDC3 subs.

1500w RMS 2.5" coil sub for $75? That should raise a flag right there..

I deffinitly knew they was too good to be true. As far as gains go, my deck was at negative 5 on the lpf and the amp was set 1/4 turn below normal. For about three days they were slam in even turned down that much, but damn I tell you this voice coils stink when they start smoking like that.

lol yeah i broke the voice coils a couple days after having those boss subs before, but theirs nothing boss about them.

If my amp say 2k RMS, what find of total RMS should I be goin for on the subs? what would be a safe buffer zone to keep from blow in em I guess, cause I run my shit loud as possible without getting into that distortion zone. And I'm deffinitly gonna have to invest in a dd-1

if the amp really does 2000 rms you will love the Fi Q. 1 sub is all you will need if the box is made correctly or if you have room get an 18

Well since I did this I was planing on selling the empty box on craigslist an building one out ta 3/4 birch so that's straight, I'm just wanting to be sure that if I drop a few hun on a single 18 it ain't gonna smoke lol.
