Also grabbed another gallon of resin because I"m already one down lol! Got the bottom legs on Sooo yeah should be plenty strong, just need to mark and drill the holes for bolts and cut some flat strap for the actual hold down bar. Fuck yea!!! I love welding... On the all thread there is one solid bead accross the bottom holding it down, its not just those two tacks on top Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! Came out pretty good, He just got his powder coating stuff set up s I might be doing that insted of spray paint but we will see Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. goodvibez Posted December 11, 2013 Report Posted December 11, 2013 Got the rack all grinded down, took a couple hours with some 24grit disks but it worked...cant hear for shit right ow just a loud ringing in my ears wich hopefully will go away before this thing fires up for the first time:) Made my hold down and tested it I approve, now just unload 225lbs worth of batteries and start grinding Going to try and powdercoat some clear on it tomorrow and I'l probably do the same thing to the aluminium bass bars...gindng that is nt the clear coat But if That doesnt happen I'll be glassing th last part of the box Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. goodvibez Posted December 12, 2013 Report Posted December 12, 2013 ok so today I got started on the last layer of fiberglass and I had to sand down te high spots on the first layer and I lik to rough up the surfaces between layers anyway for bonding. then just to show the difference in matting the first layer is the top stuff and the layer I'm doing now is with the bottom. Thats it for tonight, maybe I'll finish tomorrow! Did another side today and I'll finish up the rest tomorrow so box should be done this weekend, dunno about wrapping it yet but we will see I'm also moving out of my house and back in with my parents this weekend, which is where all my stuff is anyway. but that will take some time.
