My buddy hooked me up with the case...its for trimble gps instruments I guess they have allot of them lying around from old models and he was like he you want this I'm throwing this away...umm yeah I think I know what I'm going to use that for! Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! Saddley I'm sure if I meet this "other" guy...he will probably tell me he thinks your just as annoying as I think you are! I'm not compensating, just proud of fabricating! goodvibez Posted July 9, 2014 Report Posted July 9, 2014 Alright so today I shaved off the amp mounting feet...really happy with it....just used a sawsal lol worked great! Then desoldered these guys apart so I could use them in the amp Like so Even have covers for them My dremel cutoff wheel supply is empty so had to do the second one like this lol...cleaned it up with a grinding bit looks fine 5.0k all stripped now I have an external fuse for all the guages and fans Next Got some help finishing my console so I have cup holders!!! Yay! Haven't had those since I've been driving this truck haha This just goes to show HOW MANY DAMN ANGLES THIS THING HAD! this doesnt even show all of them! But hey its done...sorta! goodvibez Posted July 11, 2014 Report Posted July 11, 2014 little more progress tonight..took out my helper springs in the back of this truck because they make the ride rough as hell! They are off and my airbags will g back on tomorrow, but damn its like driving a whole different truck. I figured I would try to do something with this old amp rack and figured I'll see how I like this, so far not too bad this ones for the passenger side I had to cut it down a bit...the r was scraped up so I used the r from the center and thats why its a little off, was able to use most of it though This may just be temporary, and also the seats will cover these when I get to that...but mids amp t600-4 and highs is the t400-4 and rf360.3 under the subs box but still accessible. next I have to get the center console finished so here goes...just a bunch of pics of the smd guages I'm putting in there. Came out ok, lost my 45degree bit so Ill pick one up tomorrow then should get allot more done tomorrow wiring wise. So thats where I'm at.
