bassfreake Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 not 100% sure but the other day I was playing my music and I heard something pop by the passengers seat and some time since then I noticed the airbag light on my dash on... could 1500w of bass really have partially deployed my airbags? Thanks I was pretty excited about the alt myself. kind of like a school girl, in a dress, on a swing. lol It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out. tacomaguy1 Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 airbags wont partially deploy....all or nothing, and you'll know when It goes off lol Team Flex Issues
Beanz Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 Nah it won't. My buddy's Cadillac always says to service or check air bag That's why they don't deliver. Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.
bassfreake Posted May 31, 2013 Author Report Posted May 31, 2013 ok good to know. I was a little worried cuz I saw the cover for my airbag was a little loose and then I noticed the airbag light Thanks I was pretty excited about the alt myself. kind of like a school girl, in a dress, on a swing. lol It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out. revoracing247 Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 make sure it didn't unplug the airbag or something ~ If it was easy, everybody would be doing it ~
bassfreake Posted May 31, 2013 Author Report Posted May 31, 2013 make sure it didn't unplug the airbag or something ooh... hmm... my stock radio is currently out.. would that have caused the light to come on? there's a light on the radio that says whether or not the passenger airbag is active Thanks I was pretty excited about the alt myself. kind of like a school girl, in a dress, on a swing. lol It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out. audiofanaticz Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 Your stock radio being taken out, and having airbag notifications built into it is causing your airbag light on. Airbag covers in the dash are somewhat loose since that panel pops off upon deploy, and that panel is not attached to the airbag what so ever. Airbag plugs should not come loose, Ive never heard of that happening since they are pluged in with a clip like normal plugs, then they have a secondary safty clip that has to be totally removed to even think about unplugging any part of the airbag system. Also all airbag plugs on all vehicles are color coded, and always yellow.. Also note, that if you have a airbag error light turned on, your airbag system is in a protection mode, while in protection mode they WILL NOT deploy, even if you crash your car into a brick wall at 100mph, your air bags are not going to work.. The airbag system notices something is wrong (in this case the airbag notification light in the radio is no llonger installed), so the protection mode is there to prevent accidental deploys. Anytime messing with the airbag system, or unplugging connectors, you should remove the airbag/srs fuse, then disconnect the ground wire from your battery, or disconnect all ground wires on all batteries if you have more then one, and let the car sit for 15 minutes before disconnecting or connecting any airbag component system or risk accidental deploy..
