Alright so I decided to redo the ring I made because there was a thin part in the border that I was concerned about... This time I was able to snap some photos along the way in case anyone else wanted to try it for themselves one day!!

Of course I didn't write down the measurements on these wood pieces because I had everything figured once I did the first ring, but first thing first is PLAN PLAN PLAN!!!

Any who, enough talk, time for pics!!

Bought a guide so the outside edge is on point this time.. This line is part of the inside of the ring, it'll make more sense as the pictures come along

And yes my router table is 2 fold able chairs and my work area is my apartment balcony lol ... Gotta "get it how you live" haha... STILL gonna turn out badass even without all the proper tools and space.. Hey gotta start somewhere

Back to this build

Basically, you just chip away every piece of wood until you get the full counter sink..

Next I just took the out dimensions and set the router... TIP: take your bit into consideration when calculating your outer dimensions, If you take the actual measure meant and forget to add the 1/4" from the spiral bit, you will under cut!!

Kind of skipped a little, but all I did was route the outer dimensions on the other side, flipped the board over and cut out the speaker holes

After cutting both sides with the help of the straight guide, and the works of a little hand sanding, we now have half of the whole piece!!

Time to layer this ring a little bit!!

Yes my sms220 is small enough to sit in my ring lol

After a little flush trimming and sanding I now present ya'll... the final product!!!

I dig the apartment balcony work as I do the same thing. Except I'm on the ground floor. My neighbors probably hated me the second half of December with all of the cutting and routing I was doing for my enclosure. Christmas was a quiet day of course

But anyways, looks good man.

Trimmed up the door a little to fit the depth of the HV165 woofer..

Also if you look close, you can see I was able to mount the ring by screws, so it's not going NO where!! If fiberglass wasn't enough lol

Here's how the sit mounted to the doors!! I just need a couple of dowels to support the top part of the ring so that nothing sags when I start pulling fabric around it..

I really like how beefy my doors feel, I ordered 4oz woven fiberglass cloth, so this baby should be plenty strong when all finished!!

One door down, one more to go!!

But I have some pretty cool neighbors and I work nights so I get work done a little after most everyone leave for work!! But you have to make due with what you have!! Most ppl dont believe all the work I do is on the balcony with a lot of basic tools
