Wood Posted February 2, 2016 Author Report Share Posted February 2, 2016 Just a SLIGHT update... I made up my mind and goal I had for this build that I haven't in any other of my previous builds... I wanted enough electrical so that I wouldn't have to rev my engine while demoing.. With that being said, today I ordered another Northstar SMS220 ... With a H/O those batteries are supposed to hold from 3k-5k rms... With the blue technology in the Northstar batteries, they recharge VERY fast, so with both batts they should be able to recharge in between notes to maintain 13v+ at idle ... So as Ya'll know I attempted to use fiberglass cloth instead of chop mat this time around and was actually going to put chop mat on today due to my doors not being as strong as I needed them.... WELL ... I ended up putting them outside overnight due to the fumes in my apartment became a little strong after a couple days of not working on them and them just sitting in the living room and when I brought them in to work on them, they were ROCK SOLID!! So me keeping them indoors probably kept the resin from not curing all the way (with it being uv resin), but either way it did what it had to do overnight and today I made PLENTY of progress!!! Here's after I trimmed up the first door panel Got them both nice and trimmed up, ready for some body work!! I still haven't decided whether I want to throw the HAT L8's in the doors or the kicks. That's another thing that has me pushing doors. To do kicks, I like stretching my left leg out when I drive, right where the kick pod would be. And the parking brake wouldn't be able to go all the way down (whether it needs to or not to work fully, I don't know, but I like to put it all the way down).
