Colin - STAPUFT
I'm doing this myself right now on multiple power runs. 5 80 amp fuses on each end: close to the under hood battery and close to the secondaries. The thing is, if you have multiple runs, each one has to be individually fused- if they are all run to a buss bar, then they will act as one wire and if just one of the wires gets a short... flames. I'm a fan of multiple smaller runs. Sure it is more of a pain to do, but fuses over 80 amps are getting big time IMO. By the time a 250-300 amp fuse pops, you could already have a fire at the short. ...same could be said with the 80s, but still....Good luck with your build brother! 12 - 12"s in the STAY PUFT 1989 Chevy Astro Build & Comment Log Un-Interrupted Build LogYouTube Channel Chevy Trailblazer 5.1 Dolby Digital DTS Install You have a beard of a mysterious sea captain. White Lightning
There should be a fuse within 18 inches from each battery(s) positive post ... The jumper from the battery(s) positive post to the fuse should be no longer than 18 inches (the average length of a battery) Kenwood / HELIX / Linear Power (For The Love Of Music) / Brutal Sounds / OverKill Electric Co Questions About Sound Quality ??
