Damn, Cableguy who can top those 2 purple ledgends.

I love the first RF 1000 more but that maybe only amp I love more from the old days.

Pound for pound not sure any amp out performed them.

Much thanks for the amp porn, Cableguy.

My favorites that i had back in the day were the MRV-1505 and MRV-F505 Alpine experts, Lanzar 2500, U.S. Amps VLX-50, Alpine MRV-1000, and the Bostwick DA-HC1200. I am also uploading some pics to photobucket right now of a bunch of old shool amps that i have just acquired in the last couple of years, so pics to be posted soon.

A few hard to find Alpine pieces, especially the lower left 6 channel.

A couple of Alpine MRV-1000's. Had 2 of these back in the day on a stroker 15, and just found another pair recently.

Orion 225 HCCA. .5-ohm stable ... ran 10 speakers off that thing, including two 12" subs in my '82 El Camino, ... it would pound for days.

Second fav? Probably PPI's Art series.

Thirdly, Hefler's.

I ran my original red HCCA at some abusive low impedance loads "Tri mode" LOL. That sucker cost me well over 500$ new (10$ per watt going by the 50 watt rating). I remember when I got my first credit card I bought the red 250hcca and enjoyed the hell out of both.

Second runner up was the old Punch 45HD. Those things took a beating and plenty of guys running a dozen speakers off of one back in the late 80's.

Honorable mention to the VII hifonics. Those were amazing, but at the time everyone was all about low impedance so I never really appreciated them when I had them.

I always fantasized about the old Phoenix Gold limited edition amps (Frank-amp-n-stein, Route 66, etc.). I doubt they'd hang with modern multichannels, but occasionally I see one on eBay and think about it just for the coolness factor.

Nooooooo, you sold them. OoooH man that must have been a sad day. Like a death in the family those are keepers.

I can still remember a guy in a 300z when with some LP. Man my gear couldn't hold up, that was the first and last time I looked like a fool talking shit about car audio.
