Jbarrera93 Posted June 26, 2013 Author Report Posted June 26, 2013 So here is a suggestion, dimensions need to be checked before building, the dual layer baffle is optional, read the notes below the pic: Enclosure Specifications: Fb = 35 Hz Vb = 5 ft^3 External Height = 18.5 in External Width = 38 in External Depth = 21 in Port Width = 4 7/8 in Cut Sheet List: * All Dimensions in Inches. * Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts. External Enclosure Parts: 2 x Top & Bottom (3 parts) = 38 x 21 Left & Right Sides = 19 1/2 x 16 1/4 2x Front = 16 9/16 x 16 1/4 Back = 38 x 16 1/4 Shared Port Internal Assembly Parts: 2 x Front to Back = 17 1/16 x 16 1/4 2 x Extension = 2 13/16 x 16 1/4 Assembly guide (generic dimensions): Important notes: - The 45s if you want to do them are 2 1/2" wide except the one/ones inside the port, if you want that let me know. - All boxes built outside the vehicle need to fit in their way in not just have the right dimensions. - The port needs 4 7/8" of free airspace in front of it for proper operation. - Setting your amp subsonic filter to 28Hz is suggested. was wondering if the measurements were for 1 Subwoofer only i was getting confused by the generic diagram. 2001 Chevy Blazer LS Kenwood KDC-HD552U 2 12" SDC 2.5 D4 Fi SP4 18" 4 Sundown SA-12's HiFonics BE 1200.1 Soundstream RUB1.2500D Looking for a 5k XS Power D3100 4 Soundqubed 6.5's (Pro Audio) 2 Soundqubed 3-Way 6.5's 2 Soundqubed Super Tweeters
Joe X Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 Fixed the above for one sub, still take measurements before building. If you have any other questions let me know.
ChevyBoy95 Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 okay, i was just basing it off of what AQ said. i had 2 fresh hdc3 15s (copper coils), second 5 of play time i threw 5k at them for a couple minutes, no issues, got warm, but no issues. kept throwing that at them daily for about a couple weeks before i started my new upgrades.
