You need to post up your max dimensions and since joe x is such a cool guy he will probably put you a design together but you gotta give him time

The break in is a myth for a sub's power handling. As long as you power it correctly you shouldn't have any problem on upgrading the amp.

Edit: however, after use a sub will loosen up changing its parameters a bit.

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space

Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears,

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.

So here is a suggestion, dimensions need to be checked before building, the dual layer baffle is optional, read the notes below the pic:

Enclosure Specifications:

Fb = 35 Hz
Vb = 2.5 ft^3

External Height = 15.25 in
External Width = 38 in
External Depth = 14 in

Port Width = 3 in

Cut Sheet List:

* All Dimensions in Inches.
* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

External Enclosure Parts:

2 x Top & Bottom (3 parts) = 38 x 14

Left & Right Sides =
Side 1 = 12 1/2 x 13
Side 2 = 13 1/4 x 13

Front = 34 1/4 x 13

Back = 38 x 13

L Port Internal Assembly Parts:

Front to Back = 9 1/2 x 13
Extension = 13 1/4 x 13

Assembly guide (generic dimensions):

18supb_zps18fd5e15.jpg

Important notes:

- The 45s if you want to do them are 2 1/2" wide except the one/ones inside the port, if you want that let me know.

- All boxes built outside the vehicle need to fit in their way in not just have the right dimensions.

- The port needs 3" of free airspace in front of it for proper operation.

- Setting your amp subsonic filter to 28Hz is suggested.
