trainman0978
My buddy has a 07 altima SL with the bose system, with the 9 speaker setup. His back speakers , the 6x9s are sounding like they have already blown. Instead of going thru the warranty process he would like to upgrade them to something better. He has been told that the bose amp that came wioth the car from the factory will not power aftermarket speakers correctly. Is this truly the case or is somebody trying to sell him shit he doesn't need? I have a set of 6x9s ( see my sig) that I am pulling out of my truck that are a couple of months old, and we want to put them in. What do you guys think? Will they work okay or will we be doing this for nothing. He was told we would need to bypass the bose amp and use a LOC to give a signal to a aftermarket four channel amp. I am saying b.s. !!!! thanks. Quote 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser Voo Doo Blue my upgrades and "build" thread. Stephen
i would say just replace them along as them are them same impedance. I would not buy a 4 channel amp and only amp half my speakers, or even a 2 channel amp and have only 2 amped speakers in the car overpowering all the rest. Quote you can cook bacon shirtless if you're not a pussy...lol not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be. banginAltima
for whatever reason factory systems run at a higher ohm load. replace the speaker with the same ohm rating and you should have no problems.
