75c10chevy Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 My battery is about 3 years old and today i looked at my volt meter and it was at 16.5 and hi. i looked under the hood and there were wet spots everywhere and i looked at the battery and there was acid coming out of the top of the battery. the battery was too hot to touch and it never is. Is it my battery or would it be a voltage regulator.

75c10chevy Posted June 30, 2013 Author Report Posted June 30, 2013 we got it fixed. the alternator in my truck has the voltage regulator built into it and we replaced it with a different one.
