bbeljefe Posted July 6, 2013 Report Share Posted July 6, 2013 Regarding 4th or 6th order, I'd say 6th. If it specs closest to the SD-2 series for sure. The SD-2 8 D2 has an EPB of 71, which lends it far more to ported and 6th order than sealed and 4th order enclosures. Last year I did a 6th order in the trunk of a Camry for a JBL GT804, which has an EBP of 65, and it was stupid loud for a 200 watt subwoofer. It also has pretty wide frequency response, which isn't easy to get in a 6th. I'd start out playing with 20hz and 80hz tuning and see how that looks. We don't know for sure what she is...weight will be the biggest factor but she is already bigger then most Huskys...we know she has some wolf in her from her dad..but the mom is up in the air. I need to make a nice amp rack first, then get my seats on and get it measured. I need to run some extra wire for my kicks. As soon as I put it in an enclosure I will take a vid. I might do a temporary simple slot port box to test it out and play with different tuning etc...until I find what I like and go with that for the center build in between the seats. I'm actually reconing to dual 4 coil voice coil and putting it up for sale.
