New gaming computer build, Improvments?

The performance difference is not that much and for the budget he posted its gonna be tough to fit a quad core intel in there.

VIdeo:

Radeon 7950

GTX 670/680/760/770 are all based on nearly identical parts (just some features/items enabled/disabled to "differentiate" them) so if you can get one of them for the price of a 7950 they're an ok way to go.

CPU: i5 4670 is ok, slap a decent heatsink on it and push it to 4.3ghz+ and it will last you a few years likely. My i7 2600k @ 4.6 is still going strong since release day..

Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through.

If you're building a PC, there is absolutely no reason to go with an AMD cpu.

Other than they're perfect for a lot of PC's. We have 4 DJ systems built using A10-5800K's in 2U mini-atx server cases. Cheap (~$450 to build complete system), fast, cool, and you can game pretty well on them at ~1680x1050 with no need for a dedicated video card when we do lan parties in his shop.

I don't really have a preference for Intel or AMD, I'm just looking for something that would be good for gaming and general use. Fast Anti bad stuff programs scan, anti virus, malware, spyware, Good on gaming also. I actually never figured out why people like or dislike intel or amd, they both are cpus, i guess ones more customizable or faster or both. Right now I have a Recon3D Fata1ty Professional Sound card, It was good, until I realized how bad the quality it is for normal music. Videos in VLC, sound fuzzy, hollow, with a weird echo, very noticeable.

**Edit** I cant overclock for my life either, so I wont worry about OCing, I'm noob when it comes to true customizable computers.

All Creative soundcards are junk. HTOmega I hear make great products. As well as one of the Asus models and up.

Unfortunately I don't think I did enough research when I was looking at sound cards, I got sucked into the idea that Fata1ty was a good brand (it is) but sadly this card was not one of them, It sounded good when hooked up via optical to the Z906, but then It started to intermittently make the Z906 act weird, so I connected it via 6 channel and it sounded worse, or better...depending on how you hear it, it sounded real through the 6 channel while though the optical is sounded I want to say that it lacked something, it was flat. This is actually the first sound card I've ever bought, so I didn't know about the quality of creative, my friend told me to trust them and hes good with computers, works for IBM and what not. But this sound card, it really disappointing me when it was 6 channel, I would keep it on optical but its works when it wants to.
