Spl testing at lower volumes?

I was doing some testing today. Basic stuff.

I wanted to do the testing car off because I didn't want to have the running all the time..

I picked say oh 140 as a baseline something I could I repeat often without waiting a long time or have to charge between to be able to reproduce with similar battery levels.

Anyway. Can you test at lower volumes and expect simular results full tilt. Or is it full tilt or gtfo? Prolly is.

I just like being able to not stress the equipment all the time..

Well in my findings its full tilt or gtfo. Some cabin tricks still work at low volume but not all of them. My peak changes from low power testing to high power testing, not drastically but usually 1-2hz

Yea peak is to be expected. But lil tricks here and there .. it just sucks to have to charge between tests etc. To keep everything equal. I assumed its full till or gtfo out. I guess we shall see.

Best case scenario is full tilt for every test. But that's not always feasible.

I do low power tests for little shit and then do a full tilt burp to verify any change. Fiddle, low power, fiddle, low power,.. rest... charge... cool, full tilt. Repeat.

If you can't replicate the gains/losses at ful tilt then you're just pissing in the wind.

so im thinking about building a street max car..

would burping with a batt bank vs just the 1 bigger battery make a big diff in finding peak ect? just means less chareging inbetween hits lol

i can't really think of a big issue..

I don't see a problem with it as long as you're clamping similar power to what you'd be getting from the single.

I might play in Street Max this year too. Sounds fun.

yeh only issue im worried about is maybe more clamp power.. i can't see it effecting box rise or anything lol wonder how a single 2150 will like 20k lol

my mate has run a tarramps 20k off a 2150.. car i getting now has done 159 on around 12k in ss 1-2..

got plenty work to do, lots bracing and smoothing of the box try get to 160 in max and ill be happy

if not might go 3-4 and stuff the port for music, happy do 150 music daily then let the port tune up again and smash it lol
