So I yanked out my headliner today... and bammm! 20130707_181341.jpg20130707_181336.jpg

I was planning on putting some deadner on my roof to fix the rattling and flex but this needs to be fixed first. Anybody have any tips to fixing this?

best way would be to have it welded but that would damage the paint so then you'd have to get the spots painted.

PL glue, Then in the big open areas use MDF hardboard or 1/4" birtch, itll be more solid then deadner

If I did go this route would I be able to put my headliner back on? This would make the roof very solid though since it would be wood and not deadener. I'm not going wall yet so I still need my headliner haha. I may just use all the deadener on everything else.

Edit: I suppose I would use 2x4 as "clamps" right?

Also I wouldn't need screws for securing the wood to the roof would l?

If you are competing be careful putting wood on your roof. I know in iasca it will jump you all the way to ultimate.

If youre not competing then nm.

Weld is the best way or go ghetto and pl it ( that shit blows never dries) then take a 2x4 and prop it up with jack under it let kinda dry and then deaden over it

Deaden over the wood?

If I can put the headliner back up this may not be a problem.
