6 cubes for 2 12's? why?! thats gigantic! literally needs to be half that size. and thats not a maybe.

the woofers wont see 2k. probably like 1500rms, if that even. voltage drop + box rise = never getting rated power out of the amp.

Sundown calls for 2.5 spec for a SA 12 so the box designer at my work is taking a gamble to see how it sounds and if it sounds like shit we're going to build a 5 cube box

uhh where did you see that?

just took this off the site 5 seconds ago.

5 cubes should be the most for those woofers. just build a new one if possible

Well honestly the box is being built next week so it's a matter of convincing him I don't want to fuck with it and just make it a 5 cube box and call it a day :drink40:

As long as the port velocity is proper you are just fine running a larger box with too much power. The absolute best single 12 inch box I have used was 3.25 for 1 12.

glad im not the only one

I trust the guy lol I work with him at a car audio shop I'm just the shop boy/radio installer at this point but he can defiantly build a badass box that slams I trust him but I don't want to have to wait for another box
