JBL and Infinity have the same parent company. Already heard the fair share of Infinity haters.

JBL any good for a mid-grade system?

I am running 4 old style JBL GTi 4" speakers for some of my mids. I love them.

JBL Mids are bad ass. I have owned the GTO and Power series in 6.5's both are great. Depending on your amp power you can choose. If you have the power I would go with the Power series mids, belive me you will love them, they give a very hard solid mid and vocals are very clean. I had my power series on 100RMS running to them but they can take plenty more!

I've always owned jbl, subs, coaxials, and about to get components.. I'm definitely not an expert but never figured out why people aren't crazy over jbl stuff here like they are in other countries, they have awesome customer service and their subs are well built imo, I have the gto line subs and a GT5-15 and they're tuff, I won't hesitate to grab the gto 608c component 6.5 in a few weeks. I'd say you can't go wrong, Harmon kardon, infinity and a few other brands all together somehow, I'm glad they aren't as popular as most, it keeps the price down on quality stuff..

A lot of haters on here if you don't run what they have. Love JBL and Infinity. (Harmon Karmon)

JBL is very good quality. I ran a pair of the components. They have amazing depth and crispness to them. JBL also makes Selenium

Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do that
I can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows

came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream.

oh lawd.

JBL is a reference in sound. Can't go wrong with them !

I'd love to try a set of 608 gti or 660 gti ! Maybe for my next car ...if I want to change my Focal KP that I love :):):)
