Suggestions for a 3.5k Watt system?

Recommended Posts

Currently, I've got an SP4 15 powered by a DC 3.5k, and under the hood I have a Mechman 270 with a YellowTop. It's a daily car, 12v system, and I only play it full tilt when the car is on and revved. Do I need a battery as large as a D3400 as a secondary battery? Or will a smaller battery like a D975 work? My goal is to reduce voltage drop. Currently, it drops to about 11.8V on max volume.

You definitely need more batt reserve for that amp. I'd go for a Group 31 to be honest.

I agree...

Held nut voltage with my singer 220, and a yellow up front, and a 3100 in the back, with a 2500bdcp and 1000.4adcp...

held nuts.....

Go bigger op if it is at all possible..

I'll get one 3400 then, most I can afford for now.

Then save up, nothing worse than rushing. If I was you, I would get 2 D3100's in the back and call it a day.
