My friend is having a issue with his system, he texted saying..once my system warms up and I turn the volume down my bass cuts out and then I have to crank up the volume to get them back on

His voltage doesn't drop below 13.5. This is what he is running. This is all the info I have.

First he needs to check his rca's to make sure they are not loose. Other than that, it could be the output of the HU or the input of the amp.

SD, thank for the input. I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

Just throwing this out... when the system warms up the overall voltage drops. When he turns the volume down perhaps this newly lowered voltage of a "warm" system becomes to low for the input voltage going into the amplifier. This in turn cuts the subs, but when voltage is the increased by increasing the volume knob on the HU, the subs begin playing once again.

This is only a theory so if im wrong please correct me

Hi, I was going to say the same thing the receiver, I had the same thing happen to me. I paid all that money for a Soundstream VR-931RB, hook it up played for 3 days and the volume just cut out. sent it back and got a new one, that fix it.

I had the same thing happen to my DC 175.4 and I originally had switched channels on the amp and it fixed it, then it came back again and I had enough with that amp and ditched it and replaced it with an sax 200.4 and it works fine now. I still don't know what is wrong with that 175.4 but it was the amp that gave me that type of problem.
