wL<3bass
lvl 4 is for u:)Yeh but this may all be going in a car that I can actually get a 300amp alt on, so its either take a 1991 Mercury Capri XR2 (which is a 2dr convertible, 4cyl + turbocharger, girls dig the convertible top), or take an ugly IMO 1991 Buick Riviera (2dr coupe, can get the 300 amp alt on, and that I may wall in the future) Edited February 24, 2008 by wL<3bass Quote Vehicle: 1997 S10 Blazer 4dr 4X4 Exterior: Rear End Bagged, Black Grill, Lifted 2" Amplifiers: Rockford Fosgate T8004 & T10001bd Batteries: 2 Stinger SPV35, Kinetik HC2400 Electrical: Big 3, DC Power 290amp Alternator w/ MLA at 15.5v Enclosure: 4.2 ft³ @ 33Hz 84sq.in. of port (20sq.in. per cube) Headunit: Eclipse CD3200 w/ 80G iPod Mids/Highs: Rockford T152s (a-pillars), Rockford T162s (doors) Subwoofers: 1 15" Fi BL Fully Loaded Wire: All 1/0g Kicker Hyperflex My YouTube Videos My Fiberglass A-Pillar Build My "Seamless" Looking Box Build My DD1508 T-Line Bandpass Build "Seamless" w/ Acrylic Windows (for '05 TrailBlazer) My Stealth 8" Fiberglass Build (for '05 TrailBlazer) My Build For A Friend's '08 Cobalt 15" BL Sealed Off From The Trunk My feedback/references... AI James
i know this may be a stupid question but does it have the capability to run on batteries, as i always wanted a docking station loud enough to take camping or out fishing or whatnot without having to crack up a generator. aquill1
What rms can you run with off of a 70amp alt and some form of battery?
wL<3bass
Well currently Im running around 650wrms with a 2-ch for mid/highs I do have 4 speakers but the headunit I have an old school kenwood but it only has front rca jacks its has great quality sound but i wanted them on an aftermarket amp for cleaner sound I dont need front to rear fade b/c the speakers are nomore than 25 inches from me in all directons, The hu is only a few years old and hate to spend money for a new one and it has 4.25v preouts. With the 70 amp alt I'm running a cheap 400cca battery for the time being just as a temp thing it came with the car, at idle my lights only dim slightly with 650wrms and @ 1800+rpm my lights don't dim as all. And this is in the capri Edited February 24, 2008 by wL<3bass Quote Vehicle: 1997 S10 Blazer 4dr 4X4 Exterior: Rear End Bagged, Black Grill, Lifted 2" Amplifiers: Rockford Fosgate T8004 & T10001bd Batteries: 2 Stinger SPV35, Kinetik HC2400 Electrical: Big 3, DC Power 290amp Alternator w/ MLA at 15.5v Enclosure: 4.2 ft³ @ 33Hz 84sq.in. of port (20sq.in. per cube) Headunit: Eclipse CD3200 w/ 80G iPod Mids/Highs: Rockford T152s (a-pillars), Rockford T162s (doors) Subwoofers: 1 15" Fi BL Fully Loaded Wire: All 1/0g Kicker Hyperflex My YouTube Videos My Fiberglass A-Pillar Build My "Seamless" Looking Box Build My DD1508 T-Line Bandpass Build "Seamless" w/ Acrylic Windows (for '05 TrailBlazer) My Stealth 8" Fiberglass Build (for '05 TrailBlazer) My Build For A Friend's '08 Cobalt 15" BL Sealed Off From The Trunk My feedback/references...
