Have to get some replacement door panels and a rear deck cover from the junk yard first. I see some crescendo mezzo components on my horizon I think. kryptonite Posted August 29, 2013 Author Report Share Posted August 29, 2013 Ok so i finally made up a custom cold air intake, prework to move the battery over to the driver side in preparation for the second alternator from Singer. Than i finally decided to flip the subs around, retune the amp and see what happens Impact rated goodness Center brace because the face of the box moves a good half inch on full tilt lol And done Wiring was a pain because they're all cut perfect for the inverted setup. Trying to wire the subs with the magnet halfway in the box is a huge pain lol. Retuned the amp because they were getting smelly and SUPER hot. Strangest thing though, with the subs mounted normally, wired normally, phase normal on the amp and phase normal on the headunit, they play decently loud. All settings the same except phase reversed on the headunit and they get louder? I don't want to beat on them like normal if this isn't good, not trying to get recones already lol. Thoughts? Comments? Concerns? Opinions? Beat on them on the way into work today. Still getting hot and still smelly. I am just going to assume its the tuning of the music vs. The box tuning and them not playing nice lol. Some songs play better than others which is the same as before i redid everything. not sure what else i could do now.
