You have to do some research on crossover points for the mids/highs you gettin.. and start adjusting from there.. I was running active using 360.2 and its a pain in the ass to make it sound good.. its way more complicated than you think.. unless you have a good knowledge and ears to do that..

I am familiar with frequencies, slops, and EQ and have a pretty good ear for music ( have been an recording/mixing engineer for a little over 6yrs and I'm only 23, I have the full understanding of what it takes to create the song so I take a lot of pride in quality aspect of it ) .. Im just unfamiliar with the whole active side of car audio :/

I can only imagine I see a lot of ppl talk about going active on here, so i figured I would give it shot. I have between now and the end of next month before I fire up my system to start tuning but I will say Im looking forward to it!! But Hopefully everything goes right..

Set your gains real low I.e. a good bit lower than what the dd-1 or o-scope says

Are you talking gains on the amp or the software? And if Im running 120rms speakers, could the mids at least handle the 100rms produced by the 600-4?

Start out with all your gains set as low as possible ... gain match your processor to your headunit.

Take baby steps and set your gains according to what you think your drivers can handle while your are listening to your music ...

Most sound quality people consider "gain" as a possible distortion source, which is why you see people like me go with bigger amplifiers with less gain ... and that term is normally called "headroom" ...

If soo ... How far apart are your tweeters from your midbass drivers ???

... and are your drivers in the exact locations on both sides of the vehicle ???
