Ohm load help!

Recommended Posts

amps need to be off, and it looks like in the vid that the DMM probes are not in the right spots. red probe goes to the pos (+) terminal, and the black probe goes to the neg(-) terminal.

All 4 squares on each circle represent the quad coils on each sub. Each one is at 1 ohm. Now, the blue lines between each of them represent wiring them up to 2 ohms a piece, giving you 8 total 2 ohm voice coils if you will. Now, you wire those down to 1 ohm again with the yellow lines, essentially wiring each individual sub to 1 ohm. The final result of these connections are in the green box at the bottom. Now you wire these back up to a 2 ohm load by connection the pos and neg from 2 subs and pos and neg from the other 2 subs. Now you have 2 2 ohm voice coils essentially. Wire the remaining positives and negatives together back down to 1 ohm.

You know I have 4 subs right?

I do not want to risk anything with this amp at .5

I appreciate all your quick responses and trying to help me through this!

Yes. I do.

Are you not running two subs per amp?

Got it. Except I was connecting it right.

PERFECT!!!! Thank you so much. See I already have everything wired up till the green box part. That's what my 4 sets of bolt terminals are. Thankyou so much.

Would this way change anything with the impedance? My ocd is going crazy by not using all the inputs on the amp:P
