Krakin Posted August 26, 2013 Report Posted August 26, 2013 ideally for what? honestly dude, we can't tell you how many you need to make YOU happy. some people here have a door full of speakers. some have a single pair of speakers. that's a personal choice. I would get one pair, but that's me The people that have doors full of speakers aren't going to sound quality though... They are just trying to keep the front stage caught up with the sub stage (in most cases). As for the amount of speakers, for SQ I will leave that for someone more knowledgeable on the subject. I would think that time alignments would come into play and be more noticeable if not worked on. Once again I would rather someone that knows chime in. Edit: I mean whens the last time you saw a door full of rainbows, hertz, ect.. Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.

john253a Posted August 26, 2013 Report Posted August 26, 2013 What car do you have? And do you plane to install In factory location? Do you plane to dynamat or similar the doors? You have a 4ch amp So I personally wouldn't do more then 2 sets I like the 3ways up front and the matching 2way in rear With all the other gear you have I wouldn't be expecting you to be setting up time delay or individual speaker levels got optimised seating positions If you ask me and and you just want to nice sounding speakers to go with what u have The rainbows you can't go wrong if you don't plane to coaxel mount your speakers If you plane to coaxel mount go with morel As you can get from tempo6 up in coaxel and component (coaxel comes with crossovers) Where as rainbow coaxel speakers are ok but not as good as the morel with options and range
genesis Posted August 26, 2013 Report Posted August 26, 2013 waiting for cablguy to come educate. hes not needed to educate. if you're REALLY going for sq, one sets more than enough. if you're going for your definition of sq (as in, not doing a traditional sq only build) its up to the car owner. hell, I saw someone on here saying "he considers sq being able to hear the words over the bass".
