sundownz Posted August 27, 2013 Author Report Posted August 27, 2013 15" frame in the picture. The NS v.3 motor is a quad stack 250mm design (80mm total slug height vs. 75mm on the Z v.4 -- for a bit of extra clearance) Quote - Jacob Fuller - Owner, Sundown Audio - Sundown Audio on FACEBOOK - Please DO NOT PM ME -- use my email address -- [email protected]

CleanSierra Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 Sexy sub. Love the bumped back plate and sexy top plate. What is the function of the top plate being shaped like that? If you can't divulge, that's ok, I was just curious. Also, triple progressive spiders? The leads look like heavier gauge than I see some guys power their door speakers with Quote Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
Borris The Blade Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 I want one or four. Looks like a monster! Quote It's like rubbing your wiener up against a sheep.

The leads look like heavier gauge than I see some guys power their door speakers with The top and back plates are shaped as such to remove the areas of lowest flux saturation to save weight. We followed the contours of flux based on FEA simulation. There really won't be a 'stock' setup to speak of -- I expect most of these to be configured differently. The SPL packs are similar to our old NS v.1/v.2 spiders but bigger in diameter -- we used 3 layers on those models. Depending on the cone / surround they are paired with will determine how many are needed for a certain application. We will also have "pressed packs" like the X and Z v.4 but with 6 layers for the NS v.3 Quote - Jacob Fuller - Owner, Sundown Audio - Sundown Audio on FACEBOOK - Please DO NOT PM ME -- use my email address -- [email protected]
