Actually scott sold and they didnt have him sign a no compete clause. So he started fi. Re has fallen down hill since then. Now that greg left they briught in a guy named quadbox as an engineer look him up. He was laughed odf every forum ever when he was in the scene. I wouldnt buy from them for that reason alone. Also unless fi is oeming flr them they aren't made in the usa. Maybe assembled. But the parts come from iverseas. Nothing wrong with that but it is a false statement

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. I had no idea. He is literally on CACO right now crying because the scene is killing the audio industry and it's all a race to zero and nobody wants to buy quality made in America 80% (at first he was claiming 90%) but wouldn't tell people what company he is working for...this is priceless. God I used to laugh so hard at that guy, thanks N8...you just made my day!

His rants look the same, but he's talking about the decline of American culture, god should never have been taken out of school, people will rip anyone off and ruin the sport just to get cheaper equipment and all companies nowadays help it since no one is willing to actually buy an American made product anymore.

I don't know how he has the time to buy enough tin foil to keep out the alien signals

Lets start off with this. I bought 4 RE Audio PRO RT 8D4's from Sonic Electronix. 2 were in stock, 2 werent. They shipped the 2 they had, and I got them within about a week. This will be my first experience with RE, and figured I'd share, since there seems to be some interest in their "newer" products.

First impressions were initially good. The packaging seems sturdy, and the box is attractive.

But, upon a detailed inspection, I found a LOT of little things that may turn off potential customers.

I'll list the negatives first, then hopefully bring you back with the positives.

1. Seriously excessive amounts of glue where the spider meets the cone and the voicecoil. So much, that it was white and built up like excess RTV on a bathtub.

2. Glue smudges on the woofer basket

3. Glue on the tinsel leads

4. Cold solder joints on the input tabs

5. Deep scratches on the "polished" finish of the back of the magnet/motor structure

6. Poor quality on the logo printed on the cone. Fuzzy edges on it and felt somewhat tacky, almost like partially cured glue or paint.

7. Deep gouges going into the venting hole in the pole. Looks as if the vent hole were drilled with a dull drill bit.

8. Spade terminals on a sub with a magnet this size? And, it's referred to as a "PRO" series?

9. Box and cushioning foam dont seem to fit the sub well. Mine were shaking around inside the box.

10. Misleading statement of being able to handle "2000 Watts" printed on box

Now, on to the positives.

1. attractive at first glance

2. deep basket should allow for decent excursion and XMax

3. Very nice RE logo'd magnet boot

4. Nice RE logo stamped in the basket spokes

5. Durable feeling rubber surrounds

6. VERY beefy magnet and motor structure

7. Nice, stiff feeling spider

Overall, I still expect great things from these subs. I'll wait until I get them all in my hot little hands to do a performance test/rundown and review of that aspect.
