1two3
Hey guys. First off i have little to none understanding of home audio. i will be moving into a small room with a few buddies and i want a small 2.1 set up so we can listen to music and what not. not sure if we will be getting a tv or not yet, but im sure the option to hook up a tv wouldnt hurt. as i said a basic 2.1 set up will do but since i have no idea about this i would like to know what i will need. we will probably just be pluging the speakers into the computer streaming the music off that way... i figure we will be needing some sort of receiver/amp to power the set up. i want to build a t-line box for the sub. it doesnt need to be very loud just sound good. if its cheaper/better to just buy a loaded enclosure for the sub i just might go that route. total budget is probably like 500$ but just throw some options at me both cheaper and more expensive. and where can i read up on what i need and what to look for when buying speakers/amps/receivers? thanks for your help Car: 2000 Honda CRV Battery: XS Power D5100R Alternator: Stock 90A Head Unit: Pioneer DEH-X9500BHS Front Speakers: Alpine Type S Rear Speakers: JBL GTO 628's Wires: All Knu 4g. bumpinTL364
you could look at my setup (but do like a t-line with an 8 in it) but I didn't spend over $400 i dont think. masterbation is free, and even saves you money.sorry but someone had to say itsorry, Jimmy...beat you to it (no pun intended) LOLDON'T get a wife. Yea I saw urs, I wanna do something like that but with a 10 I think. I was looking at the soundqubed SDC 2.0 10" sub. I think they only come in dual 4ohm so I'd want to get an amp that has 300ish watts output at 8ohms. Here's the specks. From what I understand most home audio amps have a subsonic filter somewhere around 17hz?
