Choosing Amp for Sundown X

I have a Sundown X 10" D2. I currently have a pioneer 1200RMS champion amp, but this sub needs a bit more power. I saw this amp and can get it for $200, what do you guys think?

I know these wont do rated that is why I chose the over kill on power with these.

My local shop over here sells those quantum amps. Personally, I think they're garbage. They sound like crap, and put out a nasty signal. I would just spend a little more and be happier with something else in the long run.

Current setup in my 96 Hoe

Hu - Pioneer DEH-80prs.

Amps - (4) Crossfire C5 1700D's, MTX Thunder 5604(mids), PPI Art 300.2 (tweets)

Batts - 4 91ah rear batts, 50ah batt up front.

Subs - 2 Crossfire XSv2 18's

Alt - Singer 330A

Front stage - Random JL & Eclipse mids, Eclipse tweets

HORRIBLE idea ... you have it backwards... You are better off spending money with a quality amp that has less output ... WAAAAAY WAAAAY better!

$300 really well spent dollars .... wouldn't think twice about it if I needed it and had the money

you would be lucky to get 1500 with clean power out of it.. save a few bucks and get a saz 1200d

Your "1200 rms" amplifier might not be doing its rated power, you'd be surpirsed. Buying an amp that will actually do rated power, even if it's the same amount of power as what you currently have, will make a huge difference. 1200 is lots of power and the X's are not an SPL driver, so why you would want more unless your all about getting one more deceble?

Side note: The Quantum QA4000d rated @ 4000w with 2x 60amp fuses....lolerskates. happy.gif.pagespeed.ce.zotybAEnka.gif
