Noob amp question

Ok I was posting in the sub section as I am looking into piecing together my new system for my new car. Now I am deciding between the dd 1500 and fi x sub, but the question I have is are rockford amps better than kicker. I was looking at getting the t500-1bdcp or for the same price I can get a kicker 750.1. Now I don't really care on the price I just a solid 500-600 watt amp that can deliver clean power without draining my electrical system. I am open to other options as well thanks.

Your electrical system would be trained by surcharge. Normaly a alt have a overhead of 20 % how big is your alt. And if there is no bigger diffrence

to the need´s of your amp. You have to put a bigger AGM batt in your car, and the batt sometimes on the charger.

If you haven´t a big AGM batt under the hood, i would switch out the batt for the biggest baddest car-audio batt. In the moment you can get

Stinger´s SPV 70 for 240 on Ebay, if you need and can place.

I really like my t500 cp amp. Hands down.

With a110 amp alternator and normal car battery that thing will not do well and will pull your cars electrical down so be careful.

Feed it zero gauge power and ground.

Look into an xs power battery

Do your big 3 charging wire and ground upgrades

Check into a oem higher output alternator or aftermarket high output alternator.

Sorry zero gauge requires some tinning & hammering over or trim it down some or a 0 to 4 gauge adapter, i guesses 4 gauge would be cool i just kinda overkill thanks to smd forums.

A 500W amp isn't going to pull the voltage down on a 110a alternator except if it barely get's your battery recharged.

You don't have to worry about voltage problems with a 500w amp, not even with a 1000W amp.

I prefer RF amp over Kicker because I like the company more, that doesn't mean Kicker isn't good enough.

You can choose, choose the Kicker and have some headroom or choose the RF amp.

Hmmm. I'm going to disagree, a t500 can definitely stress a 110A oem used alternator especially off and at idle. It's fuse rated at 100 amps.

I know my audio setup isn't just nothing to my charging system. And it's all only about a year old.

The only problem I see between the 2 amps is that the kicker is only stable down to 2ohms wile the RF is stable down to 1. Also RF is know to put out more then rated power. I don't know if kicker will do the same but it should do rated.

I really didn't think that 500 watts was going to drain the alternator that bad. I already had bought a stinger 4 gauge wiring kit, I planning on doing the big 3 and a battery upgrade.

If you take into account that these amps are underrated it doesn't seem that far fetched.
