gattiboy13 Posted September 9, 2013 Report Posted September 9, 2013 How important is this and what does it mean when looking for an amp?
SnowDrifter Posted September 9, 2013 Report Posted September 9, 2013 Pretty important with budget amps Not so much when we are talking about name brands like DC, Sundown, Crescendo, Crossfire, etc ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
hazestorm23 Posted September 10, 2013 Report Posted September 10, 2013 It means you actually get what you pay for if it says 500rms they guarantee that with a good electrical system it will do that 500 rms at some point. Its great if you can decide on what amp will actually do rated power. And its really important if its your first system and you don't know well known brands like snow drifter mentioned.
twisted1 Posted September 10, 2013 Report Posted September 10, 2013 Dont mean jack shit. Watch last amp test 09 mustang gt
