Is it ok to split an rca from the HU to 2 different amps?

in other words,

HU/front to front channel of amp 1 and front channel of amp 2 for a set of comps and super tweeters

HU/rear to rear channel of amp 1 for a set of mid drivers

HU/sub to rear channel of amp 2 for to sub

1 input, no. You'll only be able to power your speakers, due to the fact that it's A stereo output, not A mono input.

2 inputs, yes. You have one stereo for speakers, one for mono. It'll display it under the R/L. You can use an adapter, one adapter in your stereo to drive your tweets/mids.

Yes, you can do exactly what you described. That's similar to what I'm doing in my truck and it works fine. Although, if one of your 4 channel amps has outputs, that would be a cleaner way to split the signal than using Y connectors. Not that Y connectors won't work, mind you, but it will be a cleaner install if you have the outputs available.

you can do it, but you will degrade the signal. Besides that why would you want any amp that doesnt have preouts. I wouldnt own a amp that didnt have preouts. You never know when you may want expand your system.

It won't degrade the signal. It will lower the preamp voltage, which will be compensated for when gain is set.

The HU is a Pioneer sumtin sumtity sumtin...it has 3 sets of pre amp outs, front, rear and sub, very much resembles the 80prs.

I am purchasing another amp and instead of buying 2 new amps, I am trying to figure out a way to incorperate the one I already have into the system.

I may end up scratching the whole deal and buying another amp anyway.

Just wanted to know if one signal could be split to multiple amps.

you can do that then...

it could be split but theres no point if you want to use one amp for front and another for rear.. just put two runs of RCAs for 4channels (front rear) and one for sub stage..

u can also connect RCAs of second amp to RCAs output of first amp but you will have less control.
