I refuse to use hids im high beams, for safety issues (warmup time, wrong reflector setup, etc), so based on my limited research, it seems hir bulbs are the way to go for color, and brightness. Has anyone here actually used these, and can you confirm or deny this? Thanks!

I don't know myself though...never tried them. With HID, it only takes a few seconds to warm up? Unless you'll be flipping them on and off due to traffic, I can see it being a pain in the ass. Sometimes, the only way to know, since all cars aren't created equal, is to try. Just sucks spending that much on something and they not work right. Blown

I dropped a HID kit in my highs as well as my fogs (they were also halogen) a couple days ago. I'm not worried about it. High beams aren't on very often and honestly, nobody is in front of me when they are in use. I just replaced my projector bulbs too and @ 8000k, the difference in color was ridiculous. I wanted them to match. Very short warm up time, they work great.
