MaliBOOM
Soooo ended up dipping the exterior of my Malibu and it came out amazing IMO. Used 2 gallons of Matte clear over the stock silver ice metallic basecoat. Which resulted in a nice Matte Silver Ice finish. Here are some before pics Here are a few of it being sprayed And here is the end result with a little sunlight www.TheAutoSkin.com MaliBOOM v2"2010 Bagged Malibu on 20s"<< click here<<< Excursion on 42s Build log<<Click here<<< Instagram-@theAutoSkinRyan @TheAutoSkin Owner of The Auto Skin

meade916
looks the same to me. Seems like a lot of work for no real reason. Maybe it looks different in person but on cam, same. purplesyrup
I can tell a difference, the paint is not reflective, or mirrored like it was before, looks nice.
MaliBOOM
I can tell a difference, the paint is not reflective, or mirrored like it was before, looks nice. This^^^^ lol All you have to do is look carefully. One finish is glossy and one finish is matte. It cost 100$ and about 4-5 hours worth of time so IMO it was well worth it since I am a fan of matte finishes. www.TheAutoSkin.com MaliBOOM v2"2010 Bagged Malibu on 20s"<< click here<<< Excursion on 42s Build log<<Click here<<< Instagram-@theAutoSkinRyan @TheAutoSkin Owner of The Auto Skin

That's what i love about plasti-dip. I am still running on a $20, 26" wheel upgrade from months ago. You gotta look close to see the difference in your pics, but in person it is probably more apparent. Overall, i dig your car bro - the color scheme works. Lol yup that's what did it for me! 100$ and if I want to give it even more pop I can buy another gallon of clear and a gallon of pearlizer and mix it 50/50 then spray over the 2 gallons of clear already on there. And thanks for the kind words man......It's deff been a work in progress thus far! www.TheAutoSkin.com MaliBOOM v2"2010 Bagged Malibu on 20s"<< click here<<< Excursion on 42s Build log<<Click here<<< Instagram-@theAutoSkinRyan @TheAutoSkin Owner of The Auto Skin
David Bailey
IT looks good bro. YOu can see the difference in the reflection. THe before, you can see the white Ford SUV clearly, but the in the "after", you can tell the reflective properties are almost gone. And for that price, you can't go wrong! Yea I agree, kinda like the inserts I just did on my other car, $10 bucks, 5 hours of work is a major change of look in the overall appearance of the car, I was ready to do it right then and could not find white plasti dip though locally, so I used a paint made to adhere to plastic
HatersGonnaHate
Came out looking dope as shit Ryan! Love this stuff, the BMW and the Jeep are still holding up great, and they've seen some shitty weather and road conditions lol. The best part is, that if you get a scuff or a severe door ding, severe enough to scuff or tear the dip, all you gotta do is peel off that one panel and respray it, don't have to prep the entire car and worry about color matching.
