Big 3 question

my wire from my alt. is about 16 and nothing in the way but i'd rather be safe then be stuck on the side of the road if it ever gets arched on something

every wire in the car that has power going through it has a fuse.

what does all the amp fuses add up to. What size power wire you running and whats the length?

Fuse size is determined by the wire. You can go smaller, but I wouldn't. What is the wire spec'd at for the given length you will be running? That's what I would fuse at.

I think most people Dont. I think most GM vehicles Dont come that way from the factory and most Fords have a fuse able link so when asked, I always recommend to follow the layout the vehicle manufacturer goes with.

Well the fuses adds up to 200 amps I'm running 0 AWG Knukoncepts wire 17 ft in length and the length from the battery to the alternator for the big 3 is 4 ft

If you're going to fuse your charge lead, I would use a 300A fuse

I didn't, I just add my 1/0 to my stock wires it has an 140amp alt fuse on the fuse box which I'm going to change for a 200amp fuse
