JustinWillmon
Hey guys, i posted a thread in the general section about going to work for my dads shop upon graduation. He just bought a new location so were trying to get everything set up, vendors, equipment etc. He started off with window tinting 25 yrs ago and over the years have gotten into the audio side of things. I would really like ot expand the audio side of things. Therefore im looking for a program to use to design my own boxes and everything. Was looking at the termpro subscription but wasnt sure if that is the best one to be looking at? Obviously since its for a business it doesnt have to be a free program, i dont mind paying, so whats the best program i should be using.
Krakin
Sketch-up is free and by google. I use it for making mock ups. Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. neuspeedescort
other then telling you the cuts you need to make what does sketch up do for you? will it let you port tune and enclosure size?
Krakin
No you need to know how your going to build the box then you build it virtually on sketch-up to make sure everything fits. Also helps get your thoughts out of your head and visualize better. Also OP is you wanna go all out just get a subscription of Auto-Cad something like $20k a year. But you get pretty pictures like this: Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?
