I just tried to shut down my computer and it didn't move past "windows is shutting down" so eventually I held the power button. when trying to boot back up, it wouldn't move past "starting windows" icon. I unplugged the SSD and it works. I did this back and forth many times (different cables and ports) and it's consistent. I have a second 512 micron so I plug that in and it looks like its working fine. fearing that there is some lingering data on these drives (they were used and from the same place) I tried using ccleaner to wipe all the data from the drive. cclean estimated it would take over a day to finish and i was sure that was an error since the drive should be empty. the progress bar didnt move or show any activity so i canceled it and cclean froze. now the this drive doesn't show up at all, not even in bios. I've plugged them both into a usb port now and the first drive shows up but has no information, shows no capacity, cant look at properties, its a ghost. the second drive is seen as a micron 512 drive but doesnt show in "my computer" or as an attached device. so I've tried everything I could think of... what do you guys have for me to try?
