Sergeant_Skyrim
Chris thats why this forum gets so much hate, people like you being asses with smart ass coments. I said don't do it unless you know what you're doing. Which means if you know what you're doing it will be fine. Then I even offered a suggestion to an amp that I know can be ran down to .5 on good electrical...I didn't mean for it to come out me sounding like an ass and I'm sorry for the confusion, I'm usually the exact opposite of that lol. My only concern was making sure no equipment got fried. It's always better to be safe imo Not trying to start any shit though and I appreciate the kind words Sierra. But you're in good hands with AMI Customs OP, dude literally knows anything about SQ haha. That .5 ohm and amp advice was all I've got for contributing to this thread so I'm out, sorry for cluttering it with an extra post Build in progress

AMI CUSTOMS
On 2-2.5k I would do 7 cube if you are gonna tune low, and 6 cube if you are gonna tune high. With high tuning run a little more port area, on low tune run the min side of the port area. This will help control the woofer under full excursion. ChevyBoy95
The way i took it was him being a smart ass, and i know alot of people on here are helpfull and nice, but alot of them are asses too and thats what the forums get bad names from and im always hearing bad things about this one... grow up. cant believe you were starting to be butthurt over a simple helpful post. He only mean that with NO PRIOR KNOWLEDGE you who you are, 1/2 is not a great idea for those who do not have an understanding of what happens when you go from say 1 ohm to .5. As far as the HDC4. you will want 3000-3500w at the end of the day in the right box. I would personally get a BC3500 and dial it back. edit: BIG BOX!!! My hdc4 15's are in 5.25ea, on a 7k and LOVE IT! Guest
16 square inches of port per cubic foot. so 6 cubes for example, you'd need around 96sqin of port area.
DCdakota
and thats all 4 sides combined or just the one side?
