cause hes getting a fi team 15. pure spl sub... needs more power than rf 2500 can give him, i figured he wants pure power n spl since he chose team 15 and not sp4 or bl. so i said taramps. since it pushes more power. now if he said sp4 15 i would have said drop a grand on rf 2500

Any high rms rated amp will play great. With whatever power you give it. The box it what lets the sub take that power. If you already have the team sub then get what ever amp you would like. If you dont get a lower rms rated sub with the same amp. You spend less money with about the same output. Everyone else the reason the people with 5k+ to there woofers want more is because there boxes are not eff. I will say this if you take any high rms rated sub and make a box with less a .5 ohm rise it will probly blow at rated power.

Thanks guys for all the imput. The box would be 3.5 cuft net because that is that I am using for my BL. I knew the Team 15 could take more than 4k bc my BL rated at 1.5k takes 2.3k all day without breaking a sweat. At minimum now I will run two SQ2200's strapped. But will go for a BC5500 or maybe even an VFL amp.

I have 2 18" fully loaded BTLs UFO motor. I had ONE ( 1 ) on an atomic 7k @.35 daily Not a single issue. And the team sub makes the UFO look like its small ( for those who havent personally seen one

Techah - can never stop learning! Every time i work on my truck i learn stuffs, and everytime i change something it gets louder even when i have that gut feeling itll make it quiter.. Some times things that shouldnt work, Work well

The team sub is a beast. Plain and simple. Itll take thousands of watts, no issues, all day long IF the power is clean. Go ahead, run a taramps, itll be loud till you fry the leads.
