ThatGuyWithAJetta
So we are looking for new tires for my 01 GMC Jimmy and was wondering if we can put 235 75 r15 on rims that have 235 70 r15 tires on it already and if we do will we experience any problems? !999.5 Volkswagen Jetta 1 Planet Audio BIg Bang 15 Powerbass 1500,
jk13
Yes you can. They will be a bit taller but that's it. As far as problems--speedometer incorrect, rubbing on the vehicle, etc. With that small of a size difference I wouldn't be too concerned but I recommend using an online tire size calculator to see the general difference (general because not all tires that are the same size are the same size between brands). And then measure the vehicle clearances you have with your current tires to compare. I use this one: http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Tire-Size-Calculator Static drops are my bag.
