tire size question

So we are looking for new tires for my 01 GMC Jimmy and was wondering if we can put 235 75 r15 on rims that have 235 70 r15 tires on it already and if we do will we experience any problems?

Yes you can.

They will be a bit taller but that's it. As far as problems--speedometer incorrect, rubbing on the vehicle, etc. With that small of a size difference I wouldn't be too concerned but I recommend using an online tire size calculator to see the general difference (general because not all tires that are the same size are the same size between brands). And then measure the vehicle clearances you have with your current tires to compare.

yeah its a more common size, so there will be even more option to choose from

i have 00 and i have 235/75's with michelin ms2's best tires ive had and ive have my share

you can even fit a 31/10.5-15 if you dont mind cutting alittle on the inside of the fender

thanks for the info guys ended up picking up some tires that size got some kuhmo solus's with 3/4 tread for 250 i actually had the same series tire on my jetta before and they seemed pretty decent don't have them mounted yet though

Finally got the tires put on i like the way these tires look on here the slightly taller tires help it look more agressive heres a pic with them on
