old alt, in now.. http://www.carid.com/2007-bmw-5-series-charging-starting/item-7981473.html

new alt I might get... http://www.qualitypowerauto.com/catalog.php?item=366 280 amp version..

so with a hc 2400 under the hood and 2 extra 3100s in the back with all 0 ga wiring and 280 amp alt, I wont stay at 14v? or enough to run the amp at max?

Haven't heard of that alt either. Have you emailed Singer? Maybe he could throw something together for you.

And as KyLar said, don't freak about seeing battery voltage. Low 12s / high 11s are nothing to worry about. Lots of people battery bank their car because they can't find an alt. Play at that all day without an issue. Makes sense too. Amps have a working voltage range. So long as you are within that range it's fine. Don't go above or below
