So I changed the ground so that it bypasses the ground distribution block and now the voltage only goes down to 13 so that's improvement. So I'm guessing it's just the distribution blocks? And I'm running a soundstream tx.1300d

having as little resistance as possible in your power and ground lines is VERY important.

sometimes distribution blocks can add unwanted resistance, causing voltage drop.

I never knew that. See that you learn something new everyday... lol

Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do that
I can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows

came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream.

oh lawd.

Hold up, you cranked a tone at idle with one battery and measured the voltage drop at the amp input? Sounds normal.

EDIT nevermind. Read it wrong. You have voltage loss in your connections somewhere.

it HAS to be a connection issue. Even with CCA, and distro blocks, just plain loosing over a volt to wire resistance is INSANE.

edit: this is with no load. if you are saying you are going from 14v to 12.8v during a burp at the amp is normal honestly with stock electrical and a little second battery.

So I guess next step will be to get rid of the power distribution block and also get a battery, I don't know if my amp problem is fixed yet because I haven't played any songs that make it protect but I hop upgradeing the ground helps for now.

why wont you answer any of the questions we are asking you?

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.
