Bryan Maynard
Thank you Bcbrassard. To be honest, I didn't think anyone would even look at my build when I put it on here. Lol! Needless to say, it has been quite exciting to see peoples kind responses to my work, even though I am only an amateur with about 4 or 5 builds under my belt. So... Thank you to everyone who has showed interest in what I am doing.
bcbrassard
Your welcome! Car audio fanatics love looking at builds and helping people out if we can. I only have 5 builds in 20 years under my belt. But in my older age my obsession for car and home audio has exploded. My knowledge off this forum has grown 10 fold. Keep the pics coming. Bryan Maynard
I finally got my amplifiers today!! The TA 4.280 and TA 1.600D are much "beefier" than i expected, and seem to be very well constructed. here are some quick specifications: I. Soundstream TA 4.280 + 50 watts by 4 @ 4 ohms + 70 watts by 4 @ 2 ohms + 140 watts by 2, bridged, @ 4 ohms II. Soundstream TA 1.600D + 250 watts by 1 @ 4 ohms + 375 watts by 1 @ 2 ohms + 600 watts by 1 @ 1 ohms The 1.600D can actually be "strapped" and came with a slave cable to do so. Soundstream even supplied the bass knob. I am a very happy man.

Bryan Maynard
Hi everyone. I have a small update and some pictures for you. I built a box this weekend, but was unhappy with the cuts; so, I scrapped it. I did however get a descent start to an amp rack. All I can say after this weekend is that working with only a jacked up jigsaw and a screw driver really sucks. lmao Here are the pictures: Getting "mocked up on the work bench" lol overhead view of mock up. couple different views of the test fit
S15_Silvia
This is pretty cool. I will be building an OEM integrated system of this size in the summer or so. 2016 Subaru BRZ | Sony XAV-AX100 | Rockford Fosgate DSM 4080 & DSM 40ix | On 6/6/2012 at 6:32 PM, 'LZTYBRN' said: 3. Bryan Maynard
Hey guys! i have no real updates right now, but i noticed some comments i wanted to reply to. Evnldr: The ICQ.4 won't allow you to listen to both auxillary, and radio at the same time. The neat thing about it though is that the gain knob is the switch for the auxilary; so, there arent extra things to mount. All you have to do is push the knob inwards, and when the light goes from blue to red, the auxilary is on. Karkov: Thank you for the words of kindness, as always. Ive actually had that sub since the sundown intoduced it. I first installed it in a 92 sonoma single cab (for testing only: box was on the seat. Lol). the sound quality was much better than i expected it to be. the sa8 played lower frequencies very well, and the output reminded me of a 12" sub of comparable price--but with better sq and more output. i hope that helps you. And yes, once the system is done, there will be videos. lol
