And I've done some reaasearch and obviously the XL's motor is bigger, just was unclear on what a lvl 4xl REALLY is. Current setup in my 96 Hoe Hu - Pioneer DEH-80prs. CleanSierra
Level 4XL should be a Level 4 motor with XL soft parts, i.e. spiders, cone, etc. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
JesseyMclame
Level 4XL should be a Level 4 motor with XL soft parts, i.e. spiders, cone, etc. Okay that's kinda what I figured, but why put a bigger woofers soft parts, on a smaller motor ? Would it actually like make a lvl 4xl outperform a regular lvl 4 ? I guess with more spiders it could be a better woofer for daily ? Sorry for all the questions, I'm kinda on a rant and it's late lol. Current setup in my 96 Hoe Hu - Pioneer DEH-80prs. CleanSierra
It could handle more power. I've never looked into how much it changes the T/S specs, but I'm sure it does. Me mentioning T/S specs and the unknown variables with what all it changes with different soft parts, is me telling you I don't know if it makes it "better" for daily. Power handling capability increases I'm sure. As far as what else changes, I'm unsure since I've never owned one. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you. bdog
i think the m2 xl have its own motor where the m1 lvl4 xl used the lvl 4 motor. REP

I don't know for sure though. Current setup in my 96 Hoe Hu - Pioneer DEH-80prs. CleanSierra
Right I get what you're saying the XL is a different sub now. He was wanting to know the benefit of a Level 4 XL. Like what makes it different/better. I'm not a wealth of knowledge when it comes to DC products, but from having seen what people post and kind is logically thinking what COULD be different I gave my guess. Hopefully a DC guru chimes in Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

MrSkippyJ
I think the lvl4 xl was the original name for the xl. Or at least what people called it.
