im asking simply for actual true life experiences i understand car, tuning, subs, power, position of port, an alot of things play into the outcome thanks tho

im not some idiot who has done no research ive read an researched into both it seems easier to just not seal off an get loud but sealing off correctly can also result in being loud

I did it just because I didn't want trunk rattle, and get somewhat of a usable trunk rather than having to worry when putting stuff next to the subs. Plus I can look to my back seats and see my subs.

You're right, anyone can just drop some subs in facing rear and get loud. It takes a bit more skill and craftsmanship to seal off. Even more so to make it look decent and not some rice job.

yea the consensus is its easier to get loud subs forward port to side. that being said with work trunk walls can be as loud if not louder look clean an give cleaner sound some say. im leaning highly towards sealed off.

in my epiernce my subs seemed louder facing the trunk well idk about louder but it messed with my ears and nose more then it did when i sealed them off but after sealing them i move alot more air everything sounds so much better and lows are just nasty

I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.

If you are sealed off completely you will probably have better low end output and better SQ, as far as burping some cars are louder loading in the trunk. Personally I will never go back to a trunk loading setup , being sealed lets my seats wobble and my sunroof flap ,not that I enjoy it,but its better then a trunk being torn to shreds.

When I had my cadence in the trunk, mine metered better, sounded louder, and sounded better sub back port to passenger's side. Sub forward port to driver's side did worst. Would have loved to seal it off with port and sub facing forward, but went to 2 Fi N2 15's that didn't meter worth 2 shits subs forward and port to passenger's side(But I also had about 1" clearance around the whole box so the subs were nearly completely sealed). Couldn't fit port and subs forward but that's what I would have done... Buuuuuut then I sold them and did a wall. You'll want to too one day. You just wait.
