03 Xtreme Fosgate
really makes me happy i didnt go with XS for my batts ive seen quite a few of these happing at shows here So what are you using? Is it just the D3400's doing this? That's the only one I've read about this happening on. Mine made a hissing noise one time but seems to be doing just fine now. but I can't see much of mine because I have a battery heat wrap on it. 1 Quote BUILD LOG-http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179004-03-s10-xtreme-ext-cab-rf-build/ PHOTOBUCKET- http://s1354.beta.photobucket.com/user/03XtremeFosgate/library/truck%20audio%20rebuild
audiofanaticz
really makes me happy i didnt go with XS for my batts ive seen quite a few of these happing at shows here Any battery manufacture will have issues, no one company is perfect. I dont know how many swollen kinetiks ive seen. And its never installer error, its always the companies who makes the products fault. From what I can tell, where it is cracked is below the rope handle which is a high stress area for the plastic to support a 46lb battery (possibly why XS went away with this style handle on the other batteriers). But then again I never moved them around by a handle anyways (no matter what style handle), unless your just asking to potentially have a battery drop on your feet Edited November 7, 2013 by Audiofanaticz

scottiej
Derek, We are happy to take a look at your battery. As always, we offer free evaluation on any XS Power product, whether inside the warranty period or not. Although we give high priority to emails, many times we get backed up after big trade shows or events, so anytime you need to reach us, feel free to call our toll free number 888-4XS-POWER. Once we receive your battery, we will evaluate and get you the details of our assessment as quickly as possible. For future reference for all reading, XS Power prides itself in having extremely low rate of returns for all of our batteries, and an even lower actual defect rate. In many occasions, we find that the problem with the battery is related to the usage, or has simply reached the end of it's service life for how it is being used. Many times, we will issue full or partial warranty even when there is no actual manufacturing defect when the situation is handled professionally, and directly with our sales and service team. When the warranty issue is posted on a public forum, we will still offer the same free and fair evaluation, but may not be as likely to offer the same lenience as if handled directly. Just a friendly PSA for those tuned in... Quote XS POWER Batteries, Chargers & Accessories 888-4XS-POWER
