99vic Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 most know that i have a 99 crown vic. i am trying to put a fold out dvd deck in it but i have a problem the dash comes out over the deck about 6 inches and when my screen folds out it hits that lip and cant fold up all the way. i have seen on other forums where people move the ac unit up to where the deck is and puts the dvd player where the ac unit is. i asked a few people how they did it but they will not tell me. is there anybody on here that knows? or is there anybody in the sac area that can do it if so how much? kingsuv Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 Yae it can be done, no it's not easy. it's going to take a little fabbing to make new brackets for the AC controls. IIRC, the size is close but the ac controls are a little smaller then the radio slot so it might take some tricks to fill the gaps. Then you will have to look at the wiring, It might be a little tight to move the wires. There may or may not be enough slack to move them. Then you have to fab up a bracket to support the deck.
