Buy a carfax report on it. And to be honest, carfax reports do not really tell you much. We had a insurance claim on my wifes old car and it did not shop up on the report. Also when we purchased another car, that report did not show that the car had been in a accident, which the owner had told me that it was and I can tell from the repairs that it was

This is true, When I bought my car and seen the carfax it said it was clear of accidents, But you can clear look at my expo and tell the front bumper, both rear corner panels were repainted as they were different fades of brightness.

Carfax is usually only reported on from dealerships....any little bodyshop or mechanic won't report to them which is why Carfax is essentially pointless

In agreement with others, carfaxes meh, not always all that accurate.

But if something did happen that did get reported, that you could know so it's a horse a piece.
